Young Greens Practice Cat and Mouse

June 02, the young greens today in Berlin had a very physically hard day just one day after their magnificent clubbing experience in the Big Berlin City. Starting from the history of the any G8 campaign (correct term should be alter G8), the young green were on their way to get real time training of Blockades which they were get readying to face.

All of the greens who played as protesters were really happy as they were going against the Garbage-8, (G8) even in the training. First blockade was successfully dissolved by the ruthless police (the greens who were playing for the police literally jumped on to the Protestors,). In the second time protestors took the police by surprise as they had change their strategies successfully and manage to penetrate the police net very successfully. At the end of the day it was a real good practice and real a fun day for all. In the evening the greens were engaged in another heavy duty work. They were painting their T-shirts with slogans. G8 sucks, another world is possible, The Earth Volunteer, R.I.P (Rest in peace), Wish you were here was one of the few slogans which were seen among the many slogans in English, German, Finish and in other languages.

Greens go to Rostock to boost Alter G8 campaign

June 05, today every body was in a real hurry as they were preparing for the long Train ride to the Rostock city. Specially, For the surprise of many I got up bit early than Laura (he he ) and join the gang going to the Greens office to place extra luggage which wont be going to Rostock. We then joined the remaining greens in the front entrance of the Haptbahnhopf of Berlin. It was one hell ride full of strange types of fun. Some were trying to play with some sticks as seen in the pictures and it was real fun to see how hard they were tying to follow Laia.

We got on to a train where we had pre booked eats thanks to Ann and there were plenty of seats to shear with our humongous bags. Some were sleeping like me and some were drinking Beer, Beer and Beer.

The polish girls were “soooo polish” as they found “Zbysek” has some interesting things to share with, as something like a gas mask. In the train stain of Rostock we were warmly greeted by the uniformed reception officers as other thousands did. And we wait some time till we get the next train to the camp site. Were really tried and we could see the rest of the reception officers in Green vehicles (don’t get confused they have nothing do with we greens,).

Left-right, left,…We marched to our camp site and finally, yeappppy, Found the spot where we gonna camp. He he

So we started to fix our tent and tents and tents. The grand greens head HQ was right next to us and freezing water was in bulk to every body. Or the moon light too. HA ha

I was very, very tried and exhausted but never wants stop doing any thing I did. So does the rest I guess. We manage to finish with the tents and I found safe haven in Thiago’s tent and got on to the train back to the city and with in few hours of or grand landing in the camp site we were in the,

inauguration of the Alter Summit. It was really crowded. I hardly saw any speakers in the time but found many interesting things in the translated speeches.

Sankaaaa,… Hi how’z u doing…

I was astonished by that familiar voice. It was no one but the one and only Janna. Every Global young green member was extremely happy to see her specially me. Hi, Hi, Hi, Hi, Janna, im doing fine-but less crazy than in Nairobi. He he I felt sooo relief after giving my wired gift to her. It was a green umbrella. Ha ha

After few small, but long chats (ha ha ) we were all heading to the Ba B Q organized by the greens there. It was wonderful experience. And it really was. A little chat with Mrs. Claudia Roth of the alliance 90 and it was really nice to listen to her words. Where is our friend Sanka from Sri-Lanka,.. ha h She was due to take part in a discussion targeting nuclear deals between USAI was astonished by that familiar voice. Where is our friend Sanka from Sri-Lanka,.. ha h She was due to take part in a discussion targeting nuclear deals between USA and India and I was so feeling fortunate as she invited me to give some inputs (but stupid Sanka from Sri-Lanka lost the train by 2 mins and couldn’t go there to the discussion).

I was really happy with the food as they were really good and spicy. And I love the Vegetarian Ba B Q.

Rostock people you got a future astronaut, that what I though when I found that cute little boy in the Ba B Q. Actually he found me. I think. The firs question was Do …. You…. Play Soccer… I play for our tam. Ha ha He was sooooo,. Desperate to fly as he asked every body else to tie up his arms with hydrogen Balloons and ask me to calculate whether they are enough to him to fly.

And I was very interesting to have a little chat with Janna’s father and he was a really cool pal, I think. I was really in to the Vegetarian stuff in the Ba B Q and suddenly some thing fall down from my Belt. Ha ha It was the missing Translation Receiver. I was embarrassed he he

Any way, Me and Janna went there again after the Ba B Q and hand over back to them. Ann,…a (ha ha ) won a Ice cream from me which never got in to her. Back in the camp we all went to Sleep and for the first time in last 10 years in my life I went to sleep with out a wash.

Ummmmmm…..

Smells pretty bad isn’t it…

Sanka joins the Polish girls and all three miss the train

June 06, In the morning I was desperate to go the shower as it was really hot inside the tent. So I had to wait from 8.30 to 10 till it gets the chance to mail to go in. Any way the girls inside the showers were 6 mins late so it was bit late to me to get in. It was one of the quickest showers I took in my life. 7mins. During the shower I herd Kasia shouting Sankaaaa hurry up we are going to leave,…. So I just finish the shower and ran to the tent to get dressed up. I saw no one and thought that they all have gone leaving me behind thankx to my unpunctuality. Any way I ran to the station and I had pass the small entrance to the station and I could barely here the sound of the train and I was in the middle of the long line of vehicles trapped before the train when I realized that I had over ran the entrance. So turned back and there was the Polish girls running towards the station. So at the end, Sanka joins the Polish girls and all three miss the train. Some how Kasia receive a text massage from Anna and felt bit comfortable. a ha

So we went back to the camp and spend some time their and came back to the next train. Here we are going to the City, Finally

But the train stopped in the middle of no ware. The protestors had blocked the train track, their were many media who was supporting the Alter G8 movement but got really disappointed because of this. One such reporter from a news agency, end up talking us. Unfortunately he had to sit next to me in the bus to Rostock and he never got any free time while were going their,…---poor guy he he The nice thing about him was he interviewed me and Kasia, and I gave a clear statement condemning the violence saying that it ruins the campaign. So it was really late for any thing thus we three decided to do some walking and we took some pictures as well. Some with Strawberries!!

We met others near the tram station around 2 p.m. and went to take some food for our lunch. Some spicy Asian food. Ohh,.. It was good. Since it was too late for any thing starts at 2.30 p.m. we decided to split in to two groups and we Janna, Ann, Thiago, and me went to the kultural concert and it was pretty cool and they had some Bengali musicians even though what they spoke didn’t impressed me very much. After that we went to a discussion but I hardly remembered any thing they said as all most every one felt a sleep in the chairs. Ha ha After killing some time their, we al went to the Henrich Boll Foundation to meet MEP Dr. Frithjof Schmidt of the EU parliament who sponsored the GYG presence. There was an endless line of question for the exhausting Dr. Schmidt. HE answered them one by one and showed no signs of annoyed, Pretty Tuff guy with lots of stamina, he he

The discussion dragged for long hours and we went to a café to get some thing to drink. Hey, I had some really delicious German milk rise with Strawberry in it. Yummmyyy

After the time in the cafe we all went to the Camp and I took a another wash in the freezing shower and felt really god and join the fire place and spend many, many hours till it gets really late for sleep. Any way it was a wonderful day full of nice things and lots of walking near the Harbor of Rostock.

The last night of strategic planning to block the Garbage 8 summit, (Is it a really a summit or a meeting of some bunch of old people? I think e should change the way we call it,…)

Young greens and 70.000 others, rock with “Herbert Grönemeyer”

June 07, Very early in the morning, People from the organizing committees came to us and started to describe the movements which are going to take place in the next day. Any way some of us had other plans which were very interesting too. Some thing like going to a massive musical concert, where the most of the famous German artists going to be. Since most of the greens were in the camp except for the fun loving Finish greens, we had some slow showers and slow break fest. Most of the Finish greens promised me that they are coming back to the camp and I can say good buy in a better way. But none of them were seen in the camp site at night as they have leave.

It was getting hotter and hotter by the minute as we passed the noon. The only way to escape was to be really faith full to GYG. The GYG flag was the best way our as it could serve as a effective sun shield.

Any way we left the camp site in two teams and All the GYG members went to the media centre with Janna to update the webs and to do the Blogging. Within minute of reaching the centre greens were using apple’s to do the job. After some time we left to the concert by tram and we really thought that we are really late. But fortunately, we weren’t thanks to the massive number of people who were trying to get in. After throwing away all the water and liquid away we manage to get in. It was one big boll of heads…………….

Then, it was nothing but one big boll of craziness and Janna and other GYG’s were cursing though the massive mass looking for the team, number two. Soon team number one met team number two and every body was ready to get rocked.

The massive sound systems literally blow off our ears but no body was taking that into any consideration what so ever. Every body was very busy with getting in to their own version of expressing and dancing. Suddenly, the sun was gone from the sky and instead of sun we noted “Grönemeyer” along with other rockers of the day. It was magnificent sound boom in every where. Believe or not, being a green is really, really fun.

No one remember how many lemonade and cocktails they had. But there was some one in the café to bring cocktails, to the team who were dead busy dancing and going CRAZY. Interestingly, some were trying to copy cat Fransa’s moves in dancing but terribly failed. And, some were dieing of thirst simply because there were cocktails cocktails and cocktails only. It was a huge musical show which lasts over 6 hours, but hardly feels like 2 hours. There were Singers as well as people from Asia and far corners of Africa presenting there stories. Not only musicians and other important people where there. There was a guy who said that he is doing jocks but we had to work harder than him to laugh at his jocks. He he he At about 8 p. m. we left as one of the last participants as we had some greater plans in our head.

Climb the fence of G8, we no one could but wish for. The fence which protect Mr. Rubbish (Opps,.. I forgot to told you that Rubbish = BUSH) from thousands of his enthusiastic supporters from the alter Garbage 8 summit.

Two brave GYG members took the hard decision to break free them self and clime the fence while others ere deviating the police. Some bribe the police ladies with flowers. Mean while South American delegation also took the decision to join the revolution and the three leading figures manage to climb over the massive fence in the middle of big cheers from hundreds of activists. Any way the team responsible for recording the whole event couldn’t take any photographic evidence of the American revolutionary since he was very fast over the fence. Any way the victories young greens were safe and sound as the lady in charge of the special Police riot team got hold by the GYG strategies. Go greens!!!! Rock the earth …

In the Freezing Baltic sea

June 08, After a day full of action, we had a nice sleep in our tents. It was bit sad that the big flying mosquitos weren’t present in the sky looking after us and keeping us awake. We finish our packing within the matter of few long Minutes, (ha ha ) and they were not smelling good as we had tones of dirty cloths all over us inside the tents. We were hurriedly heading to the station as Anna was saying in a rush,…

Every body you got another 2 min’s and we are out…

So we ran in to the train. With lots of heavy back packs in our backs. Good buy our camp,.. Good buy our dearest reception officers in uniform. May be we can met in the next G8. Good buy,.. So we sadly walk away from the loving police officers. It was pretty sad as they were sitting inside a small vehicle’s during the long an cold nights in Rostock as we slept peacefully in side the tents despite the noise of the big mosquito’s in the sky. (Sanka Stop this,… Okey back to the report again,..)

Within less than an hour we were in the limit of seeing the lovely beach of the Baltic Sea. Wow, it’s brilliant… I felt sooooo… happy as I haven’t been in a beach in the last 8 years for the purpose of swimming or seeing it. Thank you, Deutsch “Grüne Jugend”, for taking us in to the sea.

All most all the greens were really fascinated by the lovely sea and some were running to the water even with there cloths and train ticket on. But some prefer having a slow approach to the sea as they has a nice shower of Sun cream and a little sleep first and then went to the sea to get freeze. But some Asians ran and stay too long in the sea and he got a serious headache and fell a sleep afterwards in the beach. ha ha

Some played beach volley and some went for walking while some others went to take some food for others and some lovely ice-cream too. It was bit late we realize that we got to go now and no body was happy that we are going to leave Rostock.

Then we packed our bags with the sand from Rostock beach and stepped towards the station. We wee walking really fast and fear that we lost the train and we almost lost Thiago and Carsten in the beach. When we were arriving the train w knew that we can’t be late if we came there an hour after. Why, The train is getting very late, that’s what we herd.

So we rest, rest and rest in the train station till the train be there. Finally, after more than an hour it came to the station.

Any way we were back in the train and after two and half long hours we were in the big city. Then we went to the hostel we were and we missed a lot to take a long shower and get back to the Park for the final get together. Any way, after few minutes, we were on our way to the place where the action going to take place. Thanks to the lady green ho stayed in Berlin we had a nice arrangement full of foods.

Ummmm,,…

We had nice games and I was bit not-happy as this is gonna be the last night with this magnificent group of young greens. But it was a interesting night,… And I’m not going to say any thing about the things we talk, as they are very, very and very confidential. That’s how we marked the end of the beautiful time with the green group and hope I would met very one of them again. Miss “U” people, a lot
