Janna Schönfeld

Germany (Belgium)

I'm Janna (Maite Galina) Schönfeld and currently working in the European Parliament in Brussels for a German Green deputy. I have a Masters in International Studies, a Bachelor in European studies and some14 years of experience in working in different NGOs.

When I first heard about the idea of founding a global network of young Green activists, I was immediately fascinated. How cool would that be, to exchange with like-minded youngsters from all corners of the world ? To learn from each other, work and have fun ? So I started becoming more and more active with the preparations of the founding congress in Nairobi and discovered a new passion : fundraising.

In the new Steering Committee, I'd like to continue to work on money issues and on fundraising. In addition, I´d like to work as a hub between all contacts I have (mainly the German Young Greens, the European Green Party, the Green group in the European Parliament and the Global Greens) and GYG.

Last but not least I dont want to hide my secret passion for dancing from you. So whenever you plan a dance event, make sure to include me. :)

Mariana Perin

Brasil

 Olá!

I live in São Paulo, but I was born in a city called São Bernardo do Campo. Since I was a teenager, I´ve been envolved in green politcs in Brazil. I work as a Cultural Producer and I am also an teatral actress. I´ve been in Global Greens 2008 and I met lot´s of young greens personally in our meeting, that happened on April 29th – 30th  in São Paulo. It was amazing change so many experiences with people from all continents and I realised that we are carring the same flag because of the same reasons.I am envolved in a social program bringing teatre, music, literature and dance to people who doesn´t have access to these kind of atraction.

People think that Brazilian´s most problem are the devastation and exploration of the rain forest, but it is not! I believe that our problem is more social and cultural than enviromental. What I do as a global young green is work with green toughts in São Paulo, but keeping my objective, which is try to make the social difference smaller!Brazilian´s green party is becoming bigger everyday! If someone are instersting to joing us or know more about PV, can access our official website www.pv.org.br, and I can help personally if necessary by e-mail: mariana@volumeone.com.br.

Brazilians Young Greens are growing up too! People from all around Big Brazil is working hard. I really think when humans are together for true ideas and fighting for it, we can change everything! Green politics can help only if it is done with a pure heart!

Paz!

Eric Dombou

Cameroon (Senegal)

I am an African born in Cameroon. I left my country six years ago to come to Senegal where I study veterinary sciences, and I became acquainted with the associative world while at secondary school through activities with clubs. As of this moment, for the last 3 years in my school, I have been engaging towards research of equity and a fairer and healthier world by becoming Peer Health Educator in the project "Entre nous jeunes" ("between us young people") which raises awareness of young people on early and undesirable pregnancies, sexually transmissible infections, and on HIV/AIDS.

Upon arrival in Senegal, the way is marked out and I engage directly at the sides of other young people who act for the wellbeing of people, poverty reduction, and against all forms of injustice. It is within these frameworks that jointly with my studies I am been working since 2002, advocating for poverty reduction and sustainable development.
