Alex Surace – Australia

Hey everyone, glad you’re having a read of who your Steering Committee members are! Please feel encouraged to contact us if you want to know more about how you can get involved. A bit about me; I’m 26 from Australia and I’ve been involved in GYG since the second Congress in Berlin (2010). I was also a member of the previous Steering Committee; I hope to share my experience with this new team so GYG can continue to evolve and engage more young greens from around the world.

Besides my involvement in GYG I’m a member of the Australian Greens and a student of economics and environmental studies. I’m also interested in youth engagement more broadly and becoming more interested in how local communities, connected globally, can be a force for change.

Our role as the GYG Steering Committee is to create more opportunities for you to get involved in initiatives and projects. If you have ideas about how we can do this – please let us know.
